Registered Psychologist and Psychotherapist
About me
I am a psychologist and psychotherapist based in Sydney, Australia. For the past 15 years, my work has focused on increasing awareness and access to mental health services. I provide assessment, screening, and evidence-based treatment for individuals, couples and families. I am fluent in English and Spanish and provide services in both languages. I use an integrative approach that combines elements from psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, family systems therapy, and EMDR.
I have experience working with individuals, couples and families to address relationship problems. I have supported clients going through high-conflict separations and worked with complex cases such as involuntary and court-ordered clients who have perpetrated or experienced domestic violence. I also work with people experiencing anxiety, adjustment and mood disorders, and I have a particular interest in supporting people dealing with complex trauma.
Throughout my career, I have lived in multiple countries and worked with clients from over 30 nationalities using an intercultural and gender-informed approach. I have also worked providing consulting services to companies in Peru and Spain, and I have led community-based Mental Health projects with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) in emergency areas in Nigeria, Yemen and Libya.
Besides my private practice, I work as a Clinical Lead for headspace, designing mental health strategies for communities affected by natural disasters and other large-scale events.
